Partnership for Procurement - Supporting Scotland's Third Sector
P4P is a new initiative which supports social enterprises and third sector organisations to build partnerships and consortia to better access public procurement and other contracting opportunities.
What support is available?
- An ongoing programme of events, surgeries and workshops promoting the benefits of partnership and consortia working.
- Support to develop partnerships or consortia at all stages – for example we could help you explore the different models of consortia
- Expert tendering support - including one to one support to become ‘tender ready’ or support with writing tenders
- Support with carrying out research and evaluation in relation to procurement
The P4P Vault is a series of online tools that includes:
- Tender ready documents and templates;
- Guidance on best practice;
- Key learning points.
The Ready for Business Third Sector Register
The Ready for Business Third Sector Register (RfB Register) is a searchable database which acts as a useful resource for accessing information on third sector suppliers and is a useful resource both for purchasers and suppliers.
The register now incorporates a ‘supported business’ search facility relevant to buyers looking to reserve contracts under the revised legislation on Supported Businesses (Section 21 of the Public Contracts Scotland Regulations 2015 and EU Directive 2014/24/EU).
The Supported Businesses listed currently on the P4P site have been checked and verified through previous Ready for Business Research (Feb 2017). When viewing the Register, visitors to the site should note that it is only those Supported Businesses that have been verified as at February 2017 which have been included. Additional information on the research and findings can be accessed by clicking on the Resource button on this website and completing Registration.
The P4P Register is open, can be viewed widely and organisations self -select and include their details onto the Register; as such, Buyers should continue to satisfy themselves of the accuracy of the information and undertake the necessary checks and due diligence.
P4P will go out to all of those organisations listed on the Register on an annual basis to request to that they check that the information held is accurate and up- to-date. We are encouraging all third sector organisations currently delivering contracts and/or looking to deliver contracts in the future, to sign up and register their details and also keen to hear from Buyers who have up and coming procurement opportunities and/or want to link to the sector
